Background: She is the third-born child of Tywin and Joanna Lannister. In the green of her youth, Joanna possessed a beauty that was as celebrated as it was feared. However, beneath the highborn grace was a growing void; she found no joy in music or courtly romance, finding interest only in the mechanics of power and the limits of human endurance. Her affair with a hedge knight was not a lapse in judgment born of passion, but a cold experiment in rebellion. She chose a man of no standing - a common sellsword - specifically to mock the lineage Tywin held so sacred. She wished to see if her fatherβs composure had a breaking point.And it did. The retribution was swift. When Tywin discovered the pregnancy, he did not rage; he became as cold as stone. To preserve the sanctity of the Lannister name, the knight was flayed within earshot of Joannaβs chambers. Not long after, it was the guise of a summer fever that Joanna was spirited away to a remote holdfast where the pregnancy was terminated - it was a bloody affair that Joanna watched with wide, unblinking eyes, refusing to utter a single cry of pain. Current Day: She eventually returned to the capital, positioned by Tywinβs influence. There, she serves House Lannister - who hears every confession whispered in the dark, who knows the sins of every lord and lady, and who sends her reports to her father that carry their weight in gold.

Joanna is the younger sister of Jason and Tyland Lannister. By the time the civil war nears, Joanna has risen to a position of high authority within the Faith. It is during this time that she is assigned as the primary Septa to Helaena and a spiritual advisor to Alicent.

Joanna is the elder fraternal twin to Tienna Lannister, and the younger sister of both Gerold and Tybolt. She acts as a spiritual advisor to her immediate family.

- Though her order demands her hair be shorn and covered by a wimple, she secretly refuses to cut it. It is her one true vanity - having given up her title, her golden hair is her only tie to House Lannister. It serves as a reminder.- Joanna has a habit of collecting the small things left behind by people who have crossed her. She keeps them in a secret cavity beneath a loose stone in her cell.- She has trained her voice to be low, smooth, and perfectly modulated. Whether she is delivering a threat or a blessing, her cadence remains the same.- Joanna is unable to feel grief for her executed lover, but rather she harbors a disgust for the weakness he represented in her life.
